Adding to Pinterest (PINS) @ $58.3

Pinterest dropped 18% after number of US Monthly Active Users dropped 6%.

To me this is a buying opportunity. Post pandemic, people are out of the house again and it makes sense that user count will drop.

Pinterest currently have an ARPU of $11 compared to Facebook's $80.

To me, the Pinterest story is about getting that ARPU up and it seems like they are on the right path. After all, this is a service that helps people get inspiration to do projects and eventually buy things.

I've added 7% to my position.

Update: Pinterest (PINS) surges 36%

Pinterest beat expectations after Wall St. underestimated much lower ad revenue.
Pinterest is proving to be a very strong platform.
Revenue growth up 4%
Users up 39% to 416 Million (!!) users.
Average revenue per user = $0.70 (0.25$ in US, $0.14 rest of the world)
Facebook's ARPU i= $7 - So there's plenty of room to grow because the platform is so naturally gears towards e-commerce. Users have very high purchasing intent.
Revenue model is great - Pinterest doesn't charge advertisers per click, rather charges per sale.
Ben Silverman is a great CEO.
There's no hateful speech on Pinterest so no political problems here.
Still very bullish on this company.
Pandemic really helped the business. More users have been added this quarters than in the last 3 quarters combined.
Still a lot of room to grow.
What if Pinterest opened it's own online marketplace and let companies sell through that?

Buying Pinterest (PINS) @$13.84

An image-sharing social media site that allows users to collect links and create virtual pin boards based on their interests.

Buying this company because I like the product very much.

80% of users are female.

At the moment, monetisation is just starting. I think there is great potential for advertisers here as users use the platform with intent to buy. Pinterest can also set up a market place which could work well.
