Stocks rose on Wednesday and will keep rising, my guess is that it is mostly counts on the hopes that the world's economy is on the road to recovery.

The word "hope" is the key, it sums up the conversation we had the other day:

and as I always try to do, here is a quote inspired by that word:
"I find I'm so excited, I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it's the excitement only a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend, and shake his hand. I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope. "

The Shawshank Redemption.

We have a big Head & Shoulders forming....with earnings about to kick off. With 1.5 million jobs lost in the last 3 months, I question whether or not we go straight up from here. I wouldn't be surprised if there is one more leg up, but I think we would visit 875-880 first.

Elliot Wave people are telling me one more leg up to about 989, then the big drop. The head and shoulders would suggest the drop is coming very soon - perhaps next week. I don't know which to believe, but what many do agree upon is that 875-880 is a key pivot point. If we hit that, whatever direction the market takes from there it will probably do so for awhile.
