More questions on Beta Site

Started Apr 17 at 10:46 ET (By ITGURU)

Is there anywhere we can go as Beta users for this site to see planned enhancments and features, I would like the ability to place limit orders, track current value of portfolio vs cost basis of total portfolio. Also, does the site take into consideration dividends on those stocks that pay them, or as far as performance goes, are we only looking at the stock price?

Another suggestion,In the Guru pages, the portfolios are broken in to sectors with a chart image in front of each sector, would be nice if you could click on the chart and see what stocks you have in that sector. Would make it easier to balance portfolio across sectors.

We will have an "Open Issues" section opened shortly, Thanks for that excellent insight.
The other stuff I can be more exact on:
1. we will have Total Portfolio Value calculations on production in one of our next versions.. so I would guess about a week or two.
2. Dividends aren't being calculated right now. But wait, don't shoot!.. this is also set to happen within the next couple of weeks. We won't be allowing reinvesting dividends though, the cash dividend will be credited to your portfolio value on payment day, (assuming you've held the stock on dividend Xdate). In other words, the dividend yield will show in your total portfolio return calculations.
Limit orders is a bit longer down the road but we'll definitely put it on the Todo list.
3. I think your suggestion for a slider under each sector showing the stocks held under that sector is a fantastic idea and will pass it on to the group with great passion. Thanks for that and for all your insights and intellectual support. Please keep the good advice coming.
