is it time to buy Berkshire Hathaway?
Started Sep 15 at 12:52 ET (By Walter)
is buffet going to start picking up bargains leveraging their huge cash stockpile?
Berkshire could pickup AIG which is synergistic to Gaico for a really low price and turn it back into a good asset. could find other goodies.
what do you think?
on the risky side, AIG? (maybe not)

I guess you mean BRK.B ("only" $4,077 today) - it's 2% up..
It performs just as the index YTD -13%.. more or less like the S&P... better buy an ETF tracking the index

I wanted to sell on MG Berkshire Hathway last week but MG doesn't allow shorts,so I opted for short indexes ETF's.I think it's cool to short Warren, probably his time has come.Even great firms go down in price,it doesn't mean firm is no good,it's all about timing.BRK.B is one of the best global companies in one of the worst times,it means as Warren said:If you want fast buck, sell BRK.B as money will be made in the next 20 years.
Simple but good answer.I think some ETF's must maka Ultra Short Warren B shares,it sounds sexy,I think many people would like to bet against Buffett.

That's the funniest news I have heard in a while...
Wonder, if I could lend money to myself to bail myself out of financial crisis.

i doubt Buffett can explain AIG in 2 minutes, so i doubt he would buy it.

Forget Buffet, if Einstein would have been alive, even he couldn't understand the kind of toxic waste these investment banks are holding...

I would say Buffet is a pretty good bet, Walter. The guy made it through the crises of 2001 and he's probably best for surviving these challenging times.
My only concern is the dudes health and age..

you always have the other old geezer ... (sorry Charlie) :)
so far today the market seems to like them, but this should be a long term play.
