Hey everyone I am new to this site and just wanted to introduce myself. I am fairly new to stock trading and consider myself to still be learning some of the ropes. I am looking for short term investments/ high risk that can possibly yield some great gains. I do have most of my portfolio invested for the long term in big caps, but I have allocated myself a small percentage to invest in riskier small/micro cap organizations. Currenly I am watching a company called Tengasco Inc.(TGC) , which is in the oil/ natural gas industry. I think it may be nearing a bottom, and seems to be a healthy company. Based on my research the natural gas industry seems to be doing fairly well. I am also watching a company called Elan Corp. (ELN) which dropped from about $34.00 a share to $10.00 a share almost overnight due to two reports of patients in Europe that developed serious side affects from what may have been a result of one of Elan's medications. I think this stock is nearing a bottom and bound for a come back any day now. It may be a good buy to jump on for a quick gain. I am however not quite sure yet if I should pull the trigger on these, which is why I am posting this blog. Anyone have any thoughts or advice to share about these companies and what the future may hold for their stock?

Hi topgun,
I have TGB on my watchlist as well. I'm not a technical / momentum trader but rather invest in high yield small caps. TGB's fundamentals look great. I like their ROE and am bullish on Nat gas in general.. but I'm not sure nat gas is a good short term play right now, as energy is taking a back seat to other sectors.. currently I'm looking at health care to be the run away stocks to look at - I like AFAM and SUNH in this category.

Try airline companies as LCC or CAL which lost around 80% YTD. if oli prices will keep go down it will return 100% and more in the short term.
