lots been written about Garmin - strong company good fundamentals. the latest announcement of them going into the cell phone business holds large potential but also promises a turbulent ride.
Garmin have much going for them here - GPS, location based service, touch screen mobile device that can play music connect to blue tooth hookup in the car and to the car audio ... all they need to do is add the phone portion.
however - they also need to match the Apple user experience, compete with the upcoming google phone (or actually the android based phones), brave a weak US consumer market.
so, if you have the stomach for some medium term risk/reward with a potential for possible quick exit this stock makes sense.

no doubt... I want to add to that Garmin's future revenue source in.... advertising !!!
yup... driving in your car... looking for an "Office depot" or "Staples"? Garmin will lead the way... if "Staples" pays for it.
Very interesting revenue stream here which could mean Garmin being the new "Yellow Pages" - interesting prospect.
