Solely based on the possibility of location-based advertisements via cell phones. Huge market, GOOG has all of the infrastructure in place. I think they're going to explode again in the next couple of years.
Do you think they will come out with a new phone? They will have to secure a cell operator to give them infrastructure, but I'm sure that if anyone can - It's Google... Still seems a bit far away.. If indeed a Gphone is coming out.. it will take at least 6 months.. in any case, I'm with anyone who's with Google - fantastic company!
I don't think they'll come out with a phone. They're all about software, and they are in the best position to provide the infrastructure world-wide for any kind of content provider. This would be more of a long-term investment. I don't think they'll get significant revenue from such a platform this year.
