Almost makes me wanna short (MOT)

A lot has been said about Motorola's new CEO, about their product lines and their patents.. but the bottom line is that this company sux pretty bad and if you've ever had a Motorola phone you know what this fish is talking about - it took me 6 months to figure out how to add an incoming call to my address book with memorizing the number first... people my say this is not a serious argument but to me it's the ONLY argument!! just like Yahoo is obviously inferior to Google and Microsoft to Apple... these are thing we simply see.
Motorola is all over the place.. spending money on failed product lines and loosing market share to any tom dick and harry that decide to launch a mobile device.
Motorola were ok for a while with the RAZR line - but that baby is all gone... almost like it's manufacture..
If you own it - sell it, if you don't - be happy.

I don't know, didn't they buy stake in a virtualization company earlier this week that would allow them to have a standard phone OS between all their phones or something? Sounds like they at least a few a few ideas and knowing their history they're likely to have at least one more good idea in there somewhere...

I agree that now is definitely not the time to buy Motorola shares, but I keep this company in my watchlist since they are aware of the tough position they are in and taking steps to change the situation. I think it's too early to count them out and they may still pull a rabbit out of the proverbial hat, in which time the savvy investors will know to buy in.

You guys sound like you have to buy into this company.. yeah, I suppose they might pull another Razr or Crazr out of their hat but I have no intention of parking my money waiting around for Motorola to re-invent themselves.. this company has enormous overhead and I simply see no reason why to own them or watch them. Mobile phones are a lethal business and it looks like the boys from MOT simply can't deal with their competitors at NOK, AAPL or anyone else.
