Commented on “disconnect with reality”
lobots10: “Oh Yes, I know how you feel...the big question remains...is a sharp bounce back in the world economy to be expected (that is exactly what bulls believe...old fashion reasoning the harder the fall, the bigger the bounce...and they have a point) Or is a C...”

2010
Correction!
or not...
I think that is the tale to tell at least for the next couple of months....
Personally I think we will see:
that the March-Jan 09 "meltup" was fueled by record liquidity in a short time and covert gov't manipulation of as many market facets as possible (understandable I guess..but not without consequence)
Secondly, record credit contraction does not bode well for the "recovery" and points to a "double dip" at the very least...
The US consumer is not well to say the least
China "pull" had much to do with gov't stockpiling (buying spree for military purposes?) and overproduction for non-existent US market...the threat of deflation and rising interest rates will visit Brazil and China soon..ending the "emerging market" US fueled liquidity bubble
2010 began with high hopes..they will be systematically torn to pieces only to be picked up, quietly, at the end of the year
Good luck to all!
(PS: for those of you who looked last year I think we did pretty well on our 2009 forecast...we should have stuck with it!..feedback is always welcome)
