“Celebrating beer, brunettes, bulldogs, and BMWs.„
Some see the glass as half full, I see the glass and ask "who drank half my beer?"
The first goal should be absolute return, i.e, not lose money. That's what hedge funds did before they strayed from their original mission. In any market environment, some sectors are going up, others are going down. No market is ever 100 percent one way or the other. The key is to identify the sectors in an uptrend and use technical analysis to select the best companies and ETFs; identify sectors in a downtrend and buy inverse ETFs. A good dose of undervalued high yielding stocks and bonds will provide diversification.
Be fruitful and multiply your portfolio,
