“Trend following in stocks CAN work...„
I am a trend follower using my own 'system', which incorporates volatility filters, and aims to identify stocks breaking out to new highs/lows after consolidation and/or trend reversal. Traders such as Richard Dennis, Richard Donchian and Ed Seykota have been my inspiration. Please note that my postings are not as accurate as I would like - I am not a full-time trader (that is a goal of mine), and do not have access to the internet at work. I trade UK and US stocks, both long and short, and try to enter positions in line with the general market trend. I always place stops when entering a position, and they would be updated on a daily basis or as required, so any trades exited on here may also be at worse prices than those actually used.
Depending on access to the internet, I will post my trades as 'real time' as possible.
